Our Commitment to Privacy

The Center for Independent Living Options (CILO), Inc. respects your concerns about privacy and values the trust you have placed in us. Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this policy describing the types of personal information we collect, how we may use that information, and the choices you can make about the way your information is used.

We care about protecting the privacy of children online and comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998. We never knowingly collect or maintain information from children under 13 and no part of our web site is structured to attract anyone under 13.

The CILO website contains links to other websites that operate independently of CILO and are not under our control. We provide links to those sites solely for your convenience and information. Those sites have their own privacy notices, which we suggest you review. CILO is not responsible for information that is collected by those sites.

The Information We Collect

CILO collects information about you to communicate with you about our programs and events, improve your website experience, and keep you informed on important issues related to disabilities. CILO does not share your information with third parties in ways other than those disclosed in this policy.

If contacted via email, we use return email addresses to answer the emails we receive. These addresses may be added to our database for event announcements, but are not shared with outside parties.

Security

To protect your information, this site has security measures in place provided by a reputable hosting service provider. In addition to securing your information online, CILO ensures that your information located in our offices is only available to the employees who need it to communicate it with you regarding services you are receiving.
